After 31 years of construction and mechanical experience, home
inspection was the natural progression to take my company. For
years I did home inspections for my customers as a courtesy
while bidding for contracting jobs. My customer always
appreciated the honest and thorough inspections I did, and it was
through them that the idea came to me to become a home
inspector. After doing some research on-line, I took a home
inspection course through Allied Business Schools and
graduated at the top of my class. My construction and mechanical
knowledge proved to be an invaluable resource.
Many people can become a home inspector and do a basic
inspection, however I feel inspectors with contracting
backgrounds, such as mine, know the "inner works" of a property
and can provide a more thorough and complete inspection and
report.
